FPIN and the Duke Divinity Centre for Reconciliation are excited to announce the launch of a new certificate course in ‘Leadership for Public Integrity’!
Who should apply for this course?
The course is designed for Christians who:
• Hold leadership positions in any field (churches, NGOs, the public sector or business)
• Can commit approximately 20 hours over 3 months (July to September 2026) to the course
Priority will be given to applications from small groups (e.g. 3 people in the same country or region) who can learn together as they work through the course.
Currently the course is only available in English.
What does the course offer?
The course aims to inspire, form and support Christian leaders to live as Christ-like agents of reconciliation by pursuing public integrity work in their own contexts through:
• Transformation within the body of Christ
• Cultivating leaders of integrity
• Grassroots advocacy inspired by Christian faith.
What will students do during the course?
Students will:
• Read about the theological and biblical basis for Transformation within the body of Christ, cultivating leaders of integrity, and Grassroots advocacy inspired by Christian faith
• Watch 9 short videos in which Christian leaders from Africa, Asia or Latin America describe their practical experience of promoting public integrity and fighting corruption in their context
• Interview 2 people in their own locality (a church leader, and a person who is concerned about public integrity and fighting corruption)
• Write up their reflections, to share with their fellow students in an online discussion forum
What is the course fee?
$25USD for individual applications from people in employment
$15USD per person for group applications, and for full-time students.

Who has designed the course?
The course has been designed by physician and public health expert and FPIN chair, Dr. Martin Allaby, based in the UK; the Irene and William McCutchen Associate Professor of the Practice of Reconciliation and CFR faculty director at the School of Divinity at Duke University, Dr. Nina Balmaceda, based in the United States; governance practitioner and organizational change consultant, Pastor Arpit Waghmare, based in India; and Governance and Public Policy Expert, Sarah Nyakerario Onduko, based in Kenya.
