Maribel Muñoz Aguilar is Director of Programs at the Asociación para una Sociedad más Justa (ASJ), a chapter of Transparency International in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

Maribel has a degree in Marketing from the Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana (UNITEC). She also has a Master’s Degree in Business Management from UNITEC and a Master’s Degree in International Cooperation from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid, and is in the process of completing her Doctorate in Public Administration and Management at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid.
She has experience in the formulation, management, monitoring and evaluation of cooperation projects; management of financial resources and creation of strategic alliances with aid workers, civil society and the private sector; development of market research and corporate positioning strategies. She has also coordinated multidisciplinary working groups and supervised technical and administrative staff.
She has worked as a consultant in organizations such as the Committee for Freedom of Expression C-Libre; Pastoral Social Cáritas; Truth and Reconciliation Commission; State of the Region Report and the National Anticorruption Council (CNA). She has also worked in different organizations such as the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Honduras and the TechBA Madrid Program (belongs to the Ministry of Economy of Mexico) which seeks to bring technology-based SMEs in Spain to the global stage.
